Two Flights done, one to go!

We are here in Norway!  But just for about two hours.  Last night we flew a Bombardier (Canadian) built jet from DFW to IAH.  Then we found some snacks in the SAS lounge in IAH, and then flew a Boeing (US) built jet to Stavanger.  Next we fly an Airbus (European) built jet to Copenhagen.

The SAS flight was a 737 in all Business Class.  So, 44 of us flew 9.5 hours in a narrowbody.  I (Bill) thought that was pretty neat, but Theresa was non-plussed.  Frankly, the seats, while far better than the ones from DFW to IAH, were not all that great.  But, I won’t complain.

The first thing we learned on our way here was how to pronounce Stavanger.  We had been pronouncing it as though it rhymed with “scavenger”, but they evidently pronounce it rhyming with “anger”.  It is a little amusing but embarrassing realizing we have been pronouncing the city completely wrong.

Arriving in Stavanger, we looked on the boards for Copenhagen.  Of course, here it is spelled “Kobenhavn”.  Helpful to remember than when you don’t see it in the C’s!
