| Most expensive grapes ever? |
Not too much to do today, which is a good vacation
plan. Except, even fewer things to do
when you don’t realize the time changed, and you show up an hour late to a 40
minute activity! The key event for today
was getting our wine and cheese tray.
When we bought the cruise, one of the things included in our package was
a free wine and cheese tray, “a $50 value!”
It was unclear to us who values it at $50, particularly when we can
order a cheese tray from Room Service for free.
Maybe the bottle was $50? Anyway,
I counted the items on the plate. 8
pistachios, 7 grapes, 3 slices of dates, etc, for a grand total of 27
items. If I value the wine at $23, that
makes for $1/grape. But, it was free, whoopee!!! We hid the bottle and had Diet Cokes
instead.
We saw an oddity. It
looked like a tug boat pulling a barge, perhaps filled with sand? Not really sure. You decide!

The two trivia events we made it to were 70’s music and Cities and
Countries. We were in a good group both
times, as we (or rather our group) tied for highest, while we had little to
offer. But, in more important news,
Theresa’s Drink of the Day was “Midori Mai Tai”. It was tasty!!
The dinner theme was Indian, and they had a variety of Indian menu options from appetizer to entrée. Theresa tried the whole suite of them, including "Butter Chicken" (which is still chicken, so...?). My Duck Confit was, well, just ducky!! At the end of dinner, we decided a nice aperitif was in order. Theresa asked for a Limoncello, an Italian lemon based liqueur. The asst. waiter (from India, ironically) was a bit confused, but dutifully brought her a very shot glass of ... lemon Jello!! Hmm...not quite!! We are off to see the after dinner show and then to bed, as it is an early day tomorrow (tour leaving at 7:30 AM!).
