Aloha!!
This being a big celebration, we decided early on to just buy the tickets and not mess with Non-Revving, and "hoping for the best". Good thing we did, since the only people who got on were two pilots and two flight attendants taking jump seats! Since we bought early enough, we splurged a little and decided to go in class...First Class!! But, it means stopping in LAX on the way. Interestingly (to me) it really only adds 15 miles to our trip, bringing us to 3739 miles. We watched Pirates of the Caribbean-Dead Men Tell No Tales on the first leg, and are hanging out in the AAdmirals Lounge here in LAX before the longer leg. We will get into Hawaii about 8PM local, or about 1 AM DFW time. It's going to be a long night. Double coffee!
Update: We made it to the Big Island of Hawaii!! We had seats 2A/2C on both legs (DFW to LAX
and LAX to Kona). As soon as we boarded,
we noticed the couple across the aisle on the first flight was there on the
second one! They are celebrating their 5th
anniversary, and we might see them again next week when we all fly home. We checked in to our condo, and it is
HUGE!! And very nice! So, if anyone wants to come down and join us,
we have a second bedroom with two queen beds, and sofa that pulls out into a
bed. First come, first choice!
