Day 9—Inside Passage

Inside Passage between Vancouver Island and Mainland Canada.

Today was a sea day, and just passing through the islands on the western side of Canada.  There was a lot of beautiful scenery, and a few blinks of whales and dolphins.  We decided to check out a movie in our room, so ordered popcorn and some drinks, and watched “Dunkirk”.  Oddly, we took a break to head to lunch…a German buffet on the pool deck.  Hmmm.  But it was gut.  J

Water, clouds, trees, mountains, and even snow!
Wait...this is Canada!
We went to our Trivia quiz in the late afternoon.  Our team took first place with 13 of 15, so we were happy with that!  We walked around the upper deck, and then headed to the coffee shop for little snack and played Euchre.  After a humiliating defeat (or glorious victory, depending on one’s point of view), we took another walk looking out.  Theresa spotted a colorful fish swimming fast, then a black dolphin chasing him for lunch!!  The water was so clear we don’t know how deep they were, but the surface was unbroken.  We don’t know who won either, but I’m rooting for the mammal.
What a view!!
