Enough of the British Isles, it was time to head out. We had an 8:30 departure, but also access to
the First Class lounge in Terminal 5, so up early and through security with
enough time to enjoy a little fun before our LATE flight. At the gate, they told us they were waiting
for a pilot. Once on board, the flight
crew had some story about us being late because a baggage handler got stung by
a bee. “A” for creativity?

Once we had our bags, we took the “city bus”.
But, actually, the Venice bus is a boat!
So, we waited for our “bus” and boarded for
our hotel.
Also, it functioned as a low
budget tour, so we took in the sights!

In the hotel, we checked out the room and headed to the exec
lounge for some soft drinks (it was getting hot).
We found a nice table with a good view, and
had some cool (not cold) drinks and some snacks.
We came back down for the “happy hour” and
enjoyed some free food and some not so soft drinks.
After a little dinner, we took a walk around
the neighborhood to see the sights.
