Gibraltar Airport

While touring the tunnels in the Rock, we had some great vantage points for watching some landings (easyJet and Monarch).  Then, as we went down to the Moorish castle, we got to see a couple of takeoffs and a British Airways landing.  Pix below.  At least 50% of our party (of two) enjoyed it very much!!  :-)
EasyJet landing rollout

EasyJet taxiing to gate...highway closed to traffic.
Highway back open (note shadow same as above).

Closeup of Highway/Runway intersection.

EasyJet closeup heading to gate.

EasyJet rotating on takeoff.
Time to go!

Climbout.
Monarch landing.  Nice touchdown...right on the stripes!

Monarch rotating.
Two birds turning at once!
I took the unique opportunity to walk across the runway, from the south side (near the rock) to the north side near the Spanish border.  All of the day's traffic was over by then, so I did not get a chance to see close up takeoffs or landings.
