A real day at sea...and 32 year "anniversary"?

We're somewhere around here...
Today was weird.  When booking a cruise, they often ask if you are celebrating anything special.  Not one to miss an opportunity, we of course defined this as a celebration of the 32nd anniversary of our first date.  Well, that was actually March 23 (1991) but it needed some shifting to get into the week of our cruise, so we declared it as March 28th (5 days is pretty close!).

Interesting view for "breakfast"!

Breakfast Bellini etc.

Theresa had a meeting so we had a light breakfast in the room.  After she was done, we had went to a special option for cruisers with status, where we enjoyed a nice meat and cheese plate with Bellinis on the very aft of the ship.  It was nice.

We did a couple of trivia challenges, but nothing big.  The big thing was the “move”.  There was a strong vibration in our room which was bothering Theresa, and making it hard to sleep.  Long story short, after a few conversations, they offered us a “Celebrity Suite” in a little different part of the ship.  We’re not completely sure why they did this, but we accepted and went to pack up our room and get ready to move. (We were also told to keep this quiet since others complained about vibrations and they were not getting any revised accommodations!) We finally got situated in the new room in time to shower and get ready for dinner.

Nice door...what's behind it?

Oohh!!!

Ahhh!!!

Ohhh!!!

Theresa liked the bigger balcony!!

As to the room, visually it was amazing!!  This is the coolest suite we’ve ever had on a ship!  Storage…it was actually a bit of a let down over the last room.  The drawers were smaller and fewer, but, we’re not going to make this a complaint.  Just saying, if we had to chose between them, it isn’t a clear-cut choice.  But the room is awesome so we’ll just go with that.

Sunset from our balcony.

A surprise cake for dinner.

For dinner, the normal restaurant menu wasn’t all that exciting.  But “Blu”, the one assigned for their "Aquaclass" rooms, had some better sounding options.  So, we made arrangements to go there for dinner.  But first, we saw the show, which was a Hypnotist.  She was really interesting and the show was good.  Back to dinner, it was very good.  At the end, they brought us a cake and sang “Happy Anniversary”, which was sweet and awkward at the same time.

Our decorated room after dinner!

After dinner, we went back to our room.  Our bulter had decorated our room for us, which was very nice.  But he gave us a bottle of champagne, AND a bottle of red wine.  AND another chocolate cake.  We were way too tired and had more than enough drink for the night, so it all went into the fridge for another day!

Look!  Another cake!  And too much wine for two people!
