The last sea day

Cargo ship minus the cargo.  Also going the wrong way!
This trip seems to have gone SO fast.  But as a six day cruise (the shortest we’ve done in some time) it seems like it is over too soon.  But the “do nothing sea day” was pretty good.  We tried to get up early, but succeeded in only getting out of the room by 10AM.  (Monday back at work is going to be TOUGH!)

After a quick breakfast, we made it to the Captain’s Navigation lecture about 20 minutes late.  He was basically wrapping up, and got into Q&A, which was interesting given the wide variety of questions from the audience.  Suddenly, it was time for lunch!

It's the start of a beautiful thing...
Theresa had been wanting to dine in the Retreat area up on the top deck, so last chance!  We sat outside, and the first table was a little chilly.  But after Theresa was dripped on a few times, we moved into the sun, which was a little bright, but certainly warm.  Plus, we can’t go home with NO sun, right?

After lunch, we headed down to shop a bit (some left over onboard credit that was use or lose), and then go to the last General Trivia.  Finally, we had to make the tough decision on what to do with our remaining cruise credit.  Some hard decisions needed to be made about the Scotch we were going to bring home!

Lunch.  And new table.

It was amazing to see this area void of any people!!
Then it was time to pack.  We got two bags tightly packed up and ready to go, and everything else consolidated for the final bag.  With that behind us, it was time to go up to “Tea”.  Theresa got her scone, a thing she enjoys beyond Bill’s comprehension.  Bill got a nice Malbec, which seemed the right alternative to leaf residue in hot water.

We enjoyed our last dinner on board, and of course had the French Onion soup yet again!  We each had filet mignon.  We wrapped up the night with a comedy show at 10:15pm.  The comedienne was from a previous night and we had seen her on Dry Bar comedy.  She was pretty funny but a lot more “adult” this time.  It was a nice way to end the day.  And the cruise!

This was the roughest seas we'd seen all trip (which is incredibly calm!!).
