A Day at Sea

Swedish pancakes and baby Lamb Chops!

Today was the first of only two days at sea. But it was overcast, cool, and rainy. So, we slept in a bit and then headed for what Bill has been waiting for since our last day on a Regent Cruise…Baby Lamb Chops for breakfast! It was a bonus since there was also Swedish pancakes (crepes) with Lingonberry sauce. Oooh!!

At 10, there was a lecture on the Vikings and who they were (and who they were NOT). We joked later about how 30 years ago, the idea of going on vacation and attending a history lecture was an unlikely future. Regardless, it was an interesting topic. We went to lunch and Theresa had some very good Chicken Cordon Bleu. It was so good we thought it deserved a blue ribbon! 😊 

At 2:00 there was another lecture on the Vikings and their impact on Ireland. Apparently Dublin owes it’s existence to the Vikings. If you’re interested, let me know and I’ll tell you ALL about it! Even if you’re not interested, there is a good chance I’ll still tell you! 

We went to Trivia at 4:30, and formed a group with a couple we met in the hotel and another couple. We managed 12 out of 15, which I think sort of put us in last place. But that was deceiving, since for two of the questions, someone had the right answer but it didn’t get written down. Oh well. Theresa took a walk and Bill found the jigsaw puzzle that was in work and devoted some focus to that.

We headed to dinner about 7ish, and Theresa had Caviar, while Bill had lobster 3 (or 4?) ways. Lobster Bisque, Lobster pasta, and a Lobster Tail. Theresa also had Lobster Tail, but hers was cooked into a Michelin tire (instead of restaurant). So, Bill helped her chew it to completion.

Finally, Theresa went to a Broadway musical "unplugged" production, while Bill did this blog, and went for a drink and the puzzle.
