Day 17 - Home!!

Alas, our last day we again woke up too early.  (Tomorrow, back to work…watch us oversleep!)  We finally got up about 5:30 (instead of 6:30) and got everything together.  Bill went to the puzzle for a bit while Theresa tried to take a ‘nap’ once we were fully ready.  We met up with Mike and MaryAnne for one last meal about 7:45 (since we had to be out of the room by 8).  About that time they made an announcement that they were beginning to “bunker” (take on) the Liquid Natural Gas (LNG), so people on the Port side suites were not to go out on their balconies, and parts of the upper decks were blocked off so you could not be near the operation.  Big bummer, as I would have LOVED to peek out and watch and critique!)  Breakfast was slow, but we enjoyed the company.  Then headed off the ship and they went to catch an Uber, and we found our bus to the airport.

Once we checked in, we found our way to the lounge, and …it was thronged!!  We did find a seat, and also our trivia team couple (P&M) whom Bill woke up the day before.  We joked and teased a bit, but gave them some space.  We played some cards, got a drink, and eventually got some lunch.  For the drink, Bill spotted a bottle of Laphroaig and asked for that ($6…no thanks! I don’t like paying for drinks!).  Anyway, the bar tender told me what was included, and I requested a Crown.  He grabbed the bottle, popped the pour spout out, and dumped the whole contents in my glass (essentially a double)!  Theresa had a Diet Coke, and quickly decided she should have a “Crown and (diet) Coke”, but she wasn’t planning to head to the bar…so my whiskey was appropriated for the task!

Our flight was unremarkable, but once we got in, we headed for the AA Lounge for a quick “early dinner” while our bags made it out.  Sure enough, our bags were ready when we were, and we got an Uber home.
