Night Tour

Our night tour of Moscow began with pick up at our hotel at 9PM. We had both a tour guide, Elena, and a driver, Yuri. It's been so long back, it seems hard to remember where all we went. But, we did go by the Bolshoi Theater, the Convent, Christ the Saviour Church, and a few other places. Here are a few of our pictures...

Here is the Kremlin and Moscow River.

And St Basil's Cathedral.

The New Maiden Convent.

One of the seven sister buildings. Our hotel looks just like this.

Here's Christ the Saviour Cathedral Church.

This is a bridge where the married couples come and put a lock on a tree. Apparently it's supposed to represent long marriage. They put their lock on the tree, symbolizing locking their love, and then throw the key into the water (it's a drainage ditch, really, but I guess that's not the "romantic point").

Moscow from Sparrow Hill - the Olympic Stadium from the 1980 Olympics. This site had lots of activity, including young people listening to music and partying, young people making out, and old people like us taking pictures. Alas, this is the exact spot where our battery died, so no pictures of the young people!
