Day 2--Park City

Park City Main Street

A school house from 18-something.

After church this morning, we headed to downtown/old-town Park City for breakfast.  It is a quaint little eclectic area with artsy boutiques and hipster eateries.  One place had an omelet with arugula (which Bill is PRETTY sure are just Dandelion leaves).  We were in the wrong part of town!  We walked around a bit, and saw all we needed to see.  It was nice looking, but we were late for something, I’m certain!  We tried a place just a bit out of the hippie area, but by then the line was so long we just went home.  We bought a few things at the grocery store, so we enjoyed a simple but late one at home.  We’ll eat out another morning.

The downhill ski slopes from 2002 Olympics

Park City is where some of the 2002 Winter Olympics were held, including the downhill, jumps, and a track where they ran bobsleds and luges.  There is a nice little museum there, which we checked out.  Then, Bill got to try the bobsled!!  Theresa had little interest.  It was a four-man bobsled but on wheels.  Due to COVID, they blocked the seat behind the driver, and then added parties of 1-2.  So, it was just Bill and the driver (which looked kind of funny!).

I (Bill) tried to do a video, but it didn’t come out very well.  The ride was a little rough and bouncy, but my arm added to it, so the video is quite a chaotic mess, ending with me dropping the camera.

ME!!!

(not me)  Note the billboard.

My wheels!

All ready to go!!  Wait, where's my driver??

Are we there yet??

We chose to take the rest of our Sunday to chill out and just be on vacation.  So, it was an easy day!
