Bill's view of take off in SCL.
We took off from Santiago right about midnight for our 8
hour flight to MIA. Both of us had heavy
eyelids, and questioned why we ordered dinners for the flight. Well, I mean, we “selected” our dinners (filet
mignon), so I guess we sort of had to eat them.
Theresa chose the movie (Jungle
Cruise) and we started it at the gate. So,
by the time dinner service was done, the movie wasn’t long after. Theresa got about 4 hours of sleep, and Bill
about 2-3. Good enough!

Woohoo!! The "good" club! :-)

777 Business Class
Arrival at MIA was not a big deal, except I think they had us
walk a mile and a half to Customs and Immigration.
But it went fast, and our bags were some of
the first to show up.
We quickly
rechecked, back through security and found our way to the Flagship Lounge, and
scoped out the options.
The flight to
DFW was a 777-300, so we had nice seats there too (nicer than the 787 we spent
8 hours in). We travelled over 12,800 miles (by air) plus who knows how much more by land and sea.

Our giant checked bags are down there somewhere...(also AA's newest 777-300 (7LW)).
When we arrived, we called an UBER, and the first driver
showed up, took one look at our bags, and said “No!”.
☹ We did manage
to make it home by about noon, and unpack, thus ending our big 2021
Vacation.
But we have one more thing…
We have a bunch of videos we took and are
trying to get them edited into something watchable.
So, check back here in about a week…and we hope
to have something to share!!
