In The Footsteps of St Peter

Well, we are doing our first group tour, so will see how this goes!  Other than cruises, we've typically been self-explorers, so this will be something new.  And, we've become accustomed to Hiltons, so looking at our (unfamiliar named) hotels selected on TripAdvisor, we have some "reservations"!  Are we travel snobs or what???  But we're not there for the hotels, so as long as we keep that in mind, we should have fun.

On this trip, we're supposed to be seeing:

• Caesarea
• Cana
• Nazareth
• Tiberias
• Mt. of Beatitudes
• Tabgha
• Capernaum
• Sea of Galilee Boat Ride
• Jericho
• Bethlehem
• Jerusalem - lots of stuff including Temple Mount, Mt. of Olives, Pater Noster, Palm Sunday Path, Church of All Nations, Mt. Zion
• Jaffa
• Rome - lots of stuff including Mamertine Prison, Forum, Colosseum, see Circus Maximus, Arch of Titus, Arch of Constantine, Catacombs, Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel, Papal Audience at St. Peter's Basilica

We chose to non-rev to London and bought tickets on EasyJet from London to Tel Aviv.  Wish us luck!

We're not sure how much connectivity we will have, as there is not supposed to be internet in the hotels, but we're hoping to have some time in the evening to find internet cafes.  We'll have to see how it goes.  Check back soon!
