| Theresa used part of our waiting time to walk. |
Unfortunately, we woke up ridiculously early (like before 6),
but still didn’t make it to exercise (says Bill -- I (Theresa) did my walking - getting over 12,000 steps for the day!).
But we did make it to the restaurant for breakfast at 7:42, just in time
to discover they opened at 8:00, and the bug-eyed people scrambling around
trying to set up and wondering what to do with us standing there had a humorous
element. We also stopped at the morning
quiz (well, where you would pick up the pages for sudoku, the quiz, and cross
word puzzles). It was the first time we
were ever close to the beginning. Since
they award points ONLY to whomever has the most answers soonest, picking up the
quiz at 2PM is sort of moot. But we’ll
see tomorrow if we made anything (probably not).
Off to Speed Sudoku.
This one was a bit harder, so I think it was more like 6 minutes (for
Bill). But the host forgot her check
sheet, so I showed her how to validate mine without a “solution”. Also she had made a mistake on hers so she
was trying to see where her mistake was using mine. I moved on to coach the guy from a couple of
days ago. He had NEVER played before,
and his new wife said he was really liking it and played the ones they give
away.

After Travel Quiz drinks and view
|
Later there was a “travel quiz”, where the host had
questions about Bermuda, Madeira, and Fort Lauderdale.
But she runs these funny, so it was multiple
choice and everyone raised their hands for the answers.
So, we almost all had the same answers, so
everyone was between 13-14 out of 15.
Off to lunch.
 |
We are in the Sargasso Sea, and this is Sargasso, a floating algae. This one kind of looks like Ohio!! |

| After lunch coffee - Pumpkin Latte! |
In the afternoon, we played a rematch (winner takes all)
Bocce with Mike and MaryAnne.
It was a
nail biter, with the leaders going back and forth.
But in the end, Bill & Theresa prevailed,
and thus are the CURRENT CHAMPIONS!!!!
It turns out that averages of the two games were not in the published
rules made up by the writer of this blog, so, we be winners!!
Later in the afternoon, humility was on the menu as we didn’t even
make third place for the afternoon trivia.
But we had fun!

| Thanksgiving is what's on the menu! |
Dinner was a special US Thanksgiving night, complete with
Thanksgiving themed menus that…aren’t what you would expect.
Theresa and M&MA all got the special.
I, knowing Theresa would share, figured if it
was really good, would have some of Theresa’s, but if it was dry and bad, would
still have some of Theresa’s.
So, I got
the Lobster tail, with seafood chowder, just like the Pilgrims.

| Thanksgiving dinner?? |
Mike and MaryAnne retired for the night and Bill went in search
of a glass of Bowmore, a Scotch he’d seen but never tasted.
So, we headed out in search of the new
elixir.
We found it quickly and Bill got
one.
Theresa wasn’t sure what she wanted
so told the “mixologist”, “I want something minty.”
He asked if she liked gin, she agreed, and we
sat down.
Bill went to check something
out, and by the time he got back, Theresa was in the midst of a conversation
with the ship’s chief Mixologist, who presented the Tequila and Whiskey
tasting.
We talked about a few things,
including Scotch, and I gave him some suggestions on how he might structure a
Scotch tasting much better than a simple line of three ages of one maker.
When I mentioned using a map, he lit up and
seemed to really like that idea.
I’m
curious if he manages one in the next sea day?
We had designs on the 10PM Name that Tune, but after the late night drinks and then waiting...we decided it was time to retire! Good Night!!
