13 APR Second Day at Sea

We were pleased to discover that there is a priest onboard!  Apparently, he was brought on as it was an Easter cruise.  Mass was at 5pm.  It was a typical sea day - food, trivia, nap, and more food.  We somehow got roped into being Father Eduardo's helpers for the Mass.  So, we invited him to dinner afterwards.  He's an interesting gentleman...Jesuit from Chicago (Colombia originally).  And, the waiter was so honored to have him in his section.

After dinner, we saw a show of The Aussie Boys...3 rather nice looking gentlemen that sang harmoniously.  (Let's be clear, this is Theresa writing, and Bill is editing!)  Many of the songs were Australian, but we knew a couple (like the We Come from a Land Down Under).  Finally, we went to the Newlywed/Not so Newlywed game, where they get a newlywed, middle ager, and someone who is long married. 8 weeks, 32 years, and 53 years. This was probably one of the most hilarious ones we've ever seen.  There was something to do with a Ute on a River Bank and a Cow (and that was the 53 year couple!)...feel free to use your imagination.

After that, it was time for bed.  Losing another hour overnight tonight, and our first stop in New Zealand tomorrow!

(We did have a couple of drinks by the Lawn Club, an area with sod!  So, we sat there to Dialogue, and enjoy some refreshments.)
