Daintree Rainforest

Started the day looking for a Pharmacy…the luck of coming down with a cold on this dream trip! We then headed again for the rainforest to view on the way from Port Douglas to Cairns. It was a different rain forest than the one up by Cape Tribulation. We rode a “sky train” (like those overhead baskets at amusement parks). Riding over the canopy was interesting. Quite an assortment of trees and plants. At the first stop there was a Ranger/Guide, so we tagged along with him. He was sort of odd. A Norwegian forester in Australia? Alllllrightee then!! At the end of the line, we stopped and had a bite. I had a carrot (Birthday) cake (sans the candles & singing), Theresa had a couple of stones, er, uh, “scones”. Yum. Dry biscuits. She has a different version, but I have the keyboard, so…

We arrived here in Cairns for the night, checking into the Hilton. Nice place! Great views! Free food and booze…Diamond has it’s rewards J Flight out at 8:50am to the Red Centre (Uluru). More from when we get to Alice Springs (Sunday)…
