Cape Tribulation

We arrived in Cairns (cans) after a very nice flight. After “hiring” (renting) our car, and remembering how to drive on that side of the car, we headed straight up to Cape Tribulation, a rain forest. It was a great drive, and about 15 miles or so was along the coast, with amazing views… and curves, which Bill enjoyed (driving), and Theresa less so! Well, she liked the view, just thought I got her too close to it a few times! The rain forest drive was amazing with hills and curves and so quiet with the trees overgrowth. Then the “jungle noises” started. Bugs, birds, and other bizarre sounds that made me think we were listening to some corny “relaxation” sound track. Then, we arrived at Cape Tribulation...which is where the Rainforest meets the Great Barrier Reef (also where Captain Cook landed in Australia). We headed back in the late afternoon for Port Douglas for the night.
