Day 1 Tasmania - Freycinet National Park

Today was all about the scenery. We flew in to Hobart airport, arriving about 10am. Took off right away to the north to Freycinet National Park (apparently, if there's only 1 place you go in Tasmania, that should be it).

The road was long (about 3 hours each way), but fun, with lots of twists and turns and ups and downs. It went from very pastoral land with olive trees and grape vines and sheep to more mountainous and rocky, with beautiful beaches in bays.

A hike up about 600 bush steps gave a beautiful view of Wineglass bay.

Then an easier, round a lighthouse walk that had a lot of sitting areas to view the crags and bays. All in all, this really reminded us of Scotland. The weather was cool yet humid and it was green with sheep scattered everywhere.
