Is it just me or does everyone contemplate the hydrodynamics of waves while at the beach?

Busy day at the dock/airport? Same dock for our boat as the sea planes.
Ready to go!
After a quick breakfast, we headed out to go
snorkeling. It was a 20 minute boat ride,
we arrived at the spot and they had us all jump in for 40 minutes of snorkel
time with the coral. Honestly, it was
nice, but, not wow. But it was
enjoyable. However, having the colorblind guy taking pictures of "colorful" coral and fish was, in retrospect, not the best plan. We went through about 100 pictures and Theresa only found a few worth even seeing. :-(

I liked the structure of this one.
This fish kind of reminds me of the US flag!
| Ok, sure, it looks pretty, but how do we take our nap? |
We came back, craving a shower, but the housekeeping guy was still in our room, so we sat out on the patio for a few minutes. When he finished, we saw he was spending time decorating our room for our “Anniversary”. It was a really nice arrangement on the bed, and a fancy bubble bath was drawn and prepared. Well, we took a shower, and debated on the bath.
Figuring it was just going to get cold, we decided to pour
some wine and hop in. Theresa pulled the
flowers out first and we discussed the tiny bugs on them, wondering how many we
just hadn’t seen until now, but put the thought aside and climbed in. The thing about a tub that is full pretty
much to the top is, when two “not small” people submerge into it, there isn’t
room for all of that water. So, copious
amounts of water went over the sides, foamy bubbles and all. And we sat there…sweat dripping down my
face, and soapy foam everywhere. I’m
trying, but I don’t get how that is romantic?"Romantic". But, not really room for two large bodies!
Afterwards, we headed off to lunch. But we had
other issues at hand. There was a gang
of birds (Ravens? Crows? Something else?) stalking the lunch area, and
eyeing our food waiting for us to get up and leave things unattended!! We watched after one couple went back for more
food, the birds swarmed the table, took turns drinking out of her water glass,
and finally knocked it over. We were
ready to go for a bit more, but, we pulled our glasses together, covered them
with a napkin, placed a fork on that, and sidled away…popping back as they were
moving in. It was a bit of a standoff. After we finished dessert, they circled back,
and I made them uncomfortable by abruptly returning a couple of times. The "before" scene!
Trouble on the horizon!! Birds gone WILD!!! Tipping over glasses, stealing drinks!!
We had a discount on a spa treatment, and Theresa has been
trying to get us to do a “couple’s massage" for quite some time. I guess because it was our 29 1/8th
Anniversary, I relented. It was a “Balinese”
massage, by ladies straight from Bali.
Neither of us knew what that meant, but I was pretty sure it involved
the knees, and maybe the “bali” too? (Bali? Belly?? Get it?) I’m
sure Theresa will have her own version to add.
For Bill, it was…weird? Never having
had a massage before, I had no expectation.
It was good but strange. And they
did include the belly.
Prior to our arrival, our Guest Service Coordinator (?) had made two dinner reservations for us at a couple of the fancier restaurants. One was for tonight at the "Sunset Restaurant at 7PM. Since the sun actually set about 5:50, it was dark as we headed there, and seemed to miss the charm? But it was a really nice dinner, with some good food. Theresa was all excited to have the Molten Chocolate cake. So, when she didn't finish her fish, and the server asked if she liked it, she said "Yes, but I'm saving room for the chocolate cake!" Imagine her surprise when, 3 minutes later, a chocolate cake showed up at our table!! Not molten. No ice cream. I teased her about being unhappy as a result of her misleading statements. We went across the pool area to the bar and had a nice little night cap before hiking home! They missed the 1/8th in our 29 and 1/8th years. :-)
