D8 - Halfway! (7)

Today marks the halfway point of our cruise (and also of Lent, but that’s another journey).  We actually made it to breakfast today and Bill got bacon and eggs (ok, I had the Spaghetti Carbonara, but that had bacon and eggs, and it was delicious!).  A little work was done, and before we knew it, we had barely time to grab an slice of pizza and rush to the Progressive Trivia.  Yesterday was tough…we are now in 4th place.  We think we did OK today, but not sure we can close the gap.  We followed with a Travel Trivia (in another location), but SOMEONE decided it was every man for himself, which was curious since she isn’t a MAN!  We had fun, that’s the main thing.

View from our balcony before heading to dinner.

Sunset dinner.
For dinner, Theresa really wanted to try the Americana Diner.  If you’re ever on a Princess ship with an Americana Diner, we absolutely recommend that you do NOT try it.  Food was OK, but service was…well diner food in 80 minutes, and we left without dessert.  So…. But we did get to watch the sun set from our table.  It had ample time to set while we waited for our food!

It was an 80s party!

The theme for the night was the 80’s, so we did the 80s music trivia (got 32 out of 40, and loved the music…except for one song we’d never heard).  We then headed to the sing along and dance party which was good music and a lot of people having fun.  We followed that with a Music Bingo, where the squares are all songs, and when they play a song you have, you mark the square.  But it moves fast so it is tough to keep up.  The first game we actually got a Bingo, but didn’t find the last square/song until just after someone else yelled it.

We lose one more hour tonight, putting us in line with London (GMT) time
