| Ahoy!! But wait for tomorrow. |
We managed a particularly slow morning not really even making it out of the room until about noon.
Of course, we got to bed about midnight (with the time change), and
Theresa didn’t sleep great, so we played lazy.
I’m not sure how this is going to work when I get back home. To my boss:
I might be late a few of the days on my first week back. We have a morning routine that starts with no
alarm, and lollygagging.

| The medical rescue boat whisking someone away. |
A few days ago, the captain came over the PA and told us we
were going to pick up the pace and get to Tenerife about a day early.
We have 3 passengers with medical conditions that
warrant land based medical facilities.
(The next day he told us they were all stable.)
Anyway, the pier had no slots for us
(early), so we were going to hurry there, transfer the passengers by “rescue
boats” and then loiter around the islands.
So, we SEE land, but we can’t have it.
Theresa planned to do laundry today, so 4-5 times she went
down to the laundromat only to find a line of at least 2 people and all
machines in use. By 4:30 there were like
4-6 people ahead of her, and we were not willing to camp in the room for HOURS
waiting our turn. So, we might try tomorrow.

| "Final" |
We had lunch and then our final progressive trivia.
We ended up in second place, but today’s
results didn’t add in.
But we also
learned there was NO prize anyway, which was both surprising and moot.
We primarily did it for fun and bragging
rights, and we’re bragging on this forum, so if we told you we won, you can’t prove
otherwise!
😊
We stopped by the future cruise desk, and talked about a
special they have. They have a featured
event (with food and drinks) on Sunday, which we may or may not go to, but it was
good to talk about the promotion and know that our answer is certainly “not now”.

| Ocean by the Ocean! |
For dinner we went to a Sushi restaurant.
Technically, it was NOT a sushi place since
it was mostly sashimi (sushi being the rolled up things and sashimi the rice
with a slab of “fish” on the top…oversimplification, but close).
The first few courses were pretty good.
But we were about done when the last course
came.
It was four more pieces, and that
ended up being TOO MUCH.
The view was
nice though as we had a window seat.

OK, for the Engineers out there...draw the Freebody Diagram and label the forces! :-) |
After dinner, there were three shows. We managed to drop in on all three for a few minutes each. The “Rock and
Roll” one in the theatre was…ok. But
just a little off. And no where to
sit. Then we hit the show on the top
deck which featured two couples. One was
an acrobatic duo, and the other more of a dance with acrobatics. So, a little different. We ducked out right at the end and found the
center show with a woman playing violin while climbing silk sheets. Something about a woman suspended in air
playing Stairway to heaven on a violin seemed incongruous. But when she segued to the Beatles, it was
time to go…to the Irish Pub and listen to a small Irish band playing pub
music. We got some fried cheese sticks
to settle our fishy stomachs. Then it
was time to head to the room, change into bathing suits and head to the top
deck to watch part of a movie (Hunger Games #3) from a hot tub. After 20 minutes -- with a cold, cold wind, we were ready to head to
the room with a night cap for Bill.

| Led Zepplin on violin??? |

Violins have gotten bad if they need this much side show to be a "show"! |

Pub night!
